About the role

 

The Superintendent Commissioning Leaching/Tailings/Mining will be responsible for the robust integration of Commissioning strategy, design requirements and Execution planning in the study and execution phases and the definition of the key deliverables including commissioning strategy and plan to ensure execution and business readiness of a portfolio of Leaching/Tailings/Mining capital projects to achieve the business case and required level of service delivery.

 

In this role you will:

 

• Support HSE performance through proactive leadership, apply BHP's risk management framework and build a risk aware culture to support safe and productive performance outcomes.

• Leads and integrates the development and maintenance of the Commissioning strategy, standards, processes, and plans for capital projects. Ensures and is responsible of the management of change for the complete scope of Commissioning.

• Ensures the development and execution of a capital optimization program, identifying improvement initiatives to increase capital efficiency and productivity within the Commissioning scope of the Portfolio of Project.

• Provides Commissioning expertise and coordinate resources deployed into the Project team for the development of Commissioning related deliverables, including but not limited to plans, processes, and procedures.

• Act as a single point of contact for the Project during early study phases for all and Commissioning deliverables and inputs.

• Elaborates and manage the Commissioning budgets and schedules for both study and execution phases.

• Responsible for all Commissioning stages (end of start-up stage) from planning to execution from Identification phase through Execution. Responsible to coordinate and integrate strategies and plans with the Manager Ops Readiness to ensure support ramp-up and stabilization completion after commissioning stages are completed.

• Manage risks and implements and monitors controls related to Commissioning scope and key value drivers for the portfolio of capital projects.

• Coordinates the execution of commissioning readiness methodologies, strategies and plans in accordance with program\project systems and standards.

• Support and conduct data-analytics on all aspects of Commissioning execution, optimization, and improvement projects.

About You

 

Requirements:

 

• Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, Civil Engineering.

• 15 years of Process Mining experience in development hydrometallurgy, tailings and mining large & mega projects in different stage Identifications, Selection, Definitions and Executions.

• Experience in the copper mining Concentrators and Hydrometallurgy preferred.

• Fluent in Spanish and intermedium to advanced English level.

 

Job location: Santiago with travels to our operations according to the project stage.

 

Modality of shift: 5x2.

 

Exclusive mandatory requirements:  Availability to change location and shift according to the project stage.
