About the Role
We are currently looking for an Electrical Superintendent in our Mine Fixed Plant Maintenance team. Reporting to the Manager Maintenance Fixed Plant, this role will help ensure continuous improvement within the electrical fixed plant area, primarily focussed on the Mine surface and underground electrical infrastructure. This role will also include working with execution on improvement projects and assisting in building the improvement portfolio.
Please note this position is based at Olympic Dam, operating on a 8/6 roster, with residential or FIFO options out of Adelaide available.
In this role you will:
- Lead, coach and support the Electrical maintenance team
- Comply to and consistently follow the standards and procedures designed to enable you to work safely and effectively every day.
- Build and maintain internal and external relationships with execution and functional teams embedded into the operational routines and understanding voice of the customer(s).
- Implement maintenance work plans to validate the integrity of plant, equipment and infrastructure
- Execute and help optimise maintenance work strategies for the area
- Provide advice on defect elimination processes, and help identify improvement opportunities
- Review maintenance procedures, work instructions and control systems coding where relevant
- Provide input in to the training matrix for the Fixed Plant team
- Build cross-functional relationships with other sub-functions
- Conduct routine performance and development discussions with direct reports
- Support site shutdowns through scope development, reviews, executions and verification
- Coordinate and manage responsible team to balance capacity and demand
- Assist supervisors with recruiting and onboarding
- Ensure Safety, Constructability, Operability and Maintainability is preserved throughout the design lifecycle process
About You
- Proven commitment to look after your own wellbeing and the confidence to speak up when others put themselves in harm’s way
- Previous experience in the mine electrical teams preferred
- Unrestricted Electrical Licence preferred
- Previous experience leading teams
- Previous experience in managing OPEX budget and CAPEX co-ordination
- Need to have solid planning and analysis background and skills
- Must have excellent time management skills and be able to prioritise
- Need to be safety minded, with proven ability to demonstrate HSEC behaviours
- Highly engaged, collaborative and committed to building mutually beneficial relationships across functional teams
