About the role
We are currently seeking the talents of an innovative and engaging professional to join the BHP team in the capacity of Superintendent Reliability- Fixed Plant Maintenance at Olympic Dam.
In this position, you will have the opportunity to drive and perform strategic analysis, eliminate defects and deliver improvement initiatives. This role will be site based at Olympic Dam in South Australia with roster options available - 5/2 or 5/2:4/3 You will have the option to FIFO from Adelaide or live residentially.
Reporting to the Manager Maintenance Fixed Plant, in this dynamic and broad ranging influential role, you will be tasked to:
- Guide a team of engineers and technical specialists
- Build team capability and a high-performance culture through coaching, providing continuous feedback and leveraging strengths to share best practice, build trust and increase performance
- Influence decision-making and key outcomes within a complex business environment
- Develop, optimise and govern asset/maintenance strategies to drive continuous improvement and replication of best practices across assets and equipment while optimising value for the long term
- Proactive stakeholder engagement with execution and production teams
- Foster field engagement activities to ensure alignment and engagement across multiple groups
About You
To be successful in this role you will be a collaborative partner with excellent negotiation and stakeholder engagement skills combined with sound technical expertise. You are team oriented and results focused with a demonstrated track record in mentoring and coaching others to achieve results.
Ideally you will have previous success in developing cohesive, high performing teams and are highly results focused with a demonstrated track record of translating corporate objectives into actionable plans, communicating, managing and reviewing the implementation of those plans to facilitate the delivery of our strategy.
In addition, we are ideally looking for the following skills and experience:
- A ‘relationship’ Leader with the ability to build open and transparent business partnerships with multiple stakeholders
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical) is essential
- Proficient understanding of mining or manufacturing equipment.
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills.
- Process and systems oriented with working knowledge of SAP preferred.
- Excellent commercial acumen with the skills and experience in preparing budgets.
- C’ class driver’s licence is essential.
