About the Role



Reporting to the Manager Engineering, the Superintendent G&TS is based at Caval Ridge Mine and will lead a high performance team of technical professionals. This role will see you provide team leadership and functional expertise to deliver governance and technical stewardship at the site and provide support across the broader BMA asset.

 

This opportunity is being offered on Monday to Friday roster.

 

You will be required to:

 

• Lead your team in the delivery of safe work practices that comply with the site Safety and Health Management System;

• Manage the governance of the Asset Integrity for the mines critical assets (draglines, dams, stacker/reclaimers, electrical infrastructure and CHPPs);

• Ensure compliance to Engineering Standards for all newly procured plant and equipment across the operation;

• Lead a team of discipline engineers providing deep technical functional expertise to the Operation;

• Manage the Change Control process for all modifications and improvements to infrastructure and equipment and ensure all documents are managed in accordance with the blueprint standard;

• Govern and control the maintenance of the Operation’s Blueprint and technical document control systems;

• Manage costs to budget and be accountable for regular forecasting and rectifying variances;

• Coaching and mentoring the Engineering team.

About You



To be successful in this role you will be an effective leader and a collaborative communicator with the ability to manage multiple business priorities simultaneously. Strong interpersonal skills are essential, allowing you to influence while also enabling you to build relationships across departments and to communicate with disciplines at all levels.

 

You should have a detailed understanding of project management, engineering principles, standards and processes. You will need to be tertiary qualified in Engineering or have equivalent trade and industry experience to support the technical requirements of the role. Results will be achieved through strong people management and long term development of individuals in your team. Mining industry and any SAP experience will be an advantage.
