About the Role
An exciting opportunity has emerged in the Engineering Copper SA team for an experienced change management leader to take on the role of Superintendent Information Stewardship.
Reporting to the Manager Engineering Copper SA, you will play a key role in building partnerships with customers and addressing all information and data-related queries for the BHP Copper SA asset. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, change management experience, and a background in systems upgrades, along with an understanding of Integrated Management Systems.
This role is responsible for the integration of current data systems and document control upgrades across Copper SA.
By tapping into your passion for data management and technical assurance, your responsibilities will include:
- Leading a team of specialists to provide fit-for-purpose data solutions and expertise to stakeholders.
- Implementing improvements in engineering information, controlled documents, and Management of Change practices.
- Providing technical expertise and verifying the effectiveness of Information Management and Change Management processes through auditable reviews.
- Continuous monitoring of systems and processes to ensure accuracy and operability.
- Designing and applying governance and assurance practices across information systems to ensure safe outcomes are achieved across Copper SA in line with our legal requirements.
- Assessing and processing data and metadata in compliance with relevant quality standards.
Location and Roster
The role is Adelaide based working a Monday - Friday roster. Some site travel will be required as customer needs are identified.
About You
You should have solid leadership experience of teams in data management and information systems, with relevant tertiary qualifications preferred.
As a problem solver and effective communicator, you will engage with customers to understand their needs. You will possess a strong knowledge of governance practices and the ability to remove obstacles that hinder the adoption of best practices is essential.
