About the Role
As the Superintendent Integrated Services, you will apply your leadership skills and experience within a mature mining organisation. In this role you will fulfil a key position within a leadership group, guiding a team and contract business partners to deliver People Logistics, Aviation, Bussing, Villages and Site Services, support across BHP’s Carrapateena Mine.
This opportunity is well-suited to someone who is influential, has solid foundational people leadership coupled with logistics, village services and aligned operational experience who is looking to lead a team which is delivering safe and reliable travel and accommodation services that support our site.
This role is based at Carrapateena on a 4:3 FIFO roster from Adelaide.
In this role you will:
- Create a culture of care by being a visible safety leader, engaging, developing, and coaching your team infield.
- Coach the teams to reinforce and sustain the BHP Operating System, embedding appropriate mindsets and behaviours in our contractor supervisors and front-line teams.
- Support the people movement logistics plans and improvement of services to maintain safety, compliance and performance.
- Oversee and optimise village management and processes.
- Ensure that aviation, and bussing services are optimised in line with safety and risk requirements.
- Collaborate and work closely with Site Leadership teams, external stakeholders and operational teams across the broader Copper SA business.
- Manage operational budgets in line with plan and forecast.
About You
- Leadership experience within Operational or Contractor settings across large organisations
- Experience with logistics, transport, villages and aligned environments
- Developed and demonstrated change management and culture building capabilities
- High level communication and presentations skills and the ability to engage across a multitude of levels
- Effective and influential diverse stakeholder engagement including an ability to constructively challenge ideas and build trusted relationships
- Demonstrated leadership in customer service
- Experience managing risk and controls with verification activities
- Be a strong safety leader, demonstrating high personal standards and positive leadership behaviours
