About the Role
Nickel West Leinster is located 375 kilometres north of Kalgoorlie in Western Australia. The operation sources nickel ore from the Perseverance Underground Mine, before crushing and processing to produce a concentrate. The Leinster Village and Township offer a unique lifestyle with all the modern conveniences – an Olympic size swimming pool, health and fitness centre, tavern, race-course and even an 18 hole golf course.
BHP announced that the Nickel West operations and West Musgrave project (Western Australia Nickel) will be temporarily suspended from October 2024. BHP intends to review the decision to temporarily suspend Western Australia Nickel by February 2027. During that time BHP continue to invest approximately AU$450 million (US$300 million) per annum in the Western Australia Nickel facilities to enable a potential re-start pending a decision.
We are looking for a Superintendent Leinster Mining to lead the underground mining team. You will also be appointed as Alternate Underground Manager and Alternate Senior Site Executive. The position will suit both experienced or developing Underground Managers and provide a fantastic opportunity and the potential to be part of any future opportunities.

About You
As the successful candidate, you will possess the following:
- Previous experience in a similar role in either acting or full-time position
- A current manual Australian driver's licence
- First Class Mine Manager Certificate
- Senior Site Executive Certificate is desirable
- Australian work rights
