About the Role

Reporting to the TROC (Technology Remote Operations Centre) Manager, you will provide leadership to a team, or teams focused on the management and support the Major Incident management process across the onsite operational technology and systems. You will coach and develop team leaders / teams to deliver high performance and do the major Incidents duration are according with the SLA required by the business. And you will be able to work collaboratively and build relationships at all levels.  

Accountable for:

  •  Initiation of technical and stakeholder bridges, coordinate recovery actions and plans for Major Incidents, ensure that an accurate timeline of activities on a Major Incident is documented, execute notifications as defined in a Major Incident Management procedure, ECR (Emergency Change Request) approval as a workaround/recovery option. 
  • Collaborates in advanced to an effective and timely responses to service requests, resolves incidents/problems and manages the Technology service catalogue.  
  • Translates user and business requirements into secure, scalable and resilient infrastructure solution architecture that meets current and forecasted demand levels.  
  • Determines the underlying cause of problems and evaluates multiple solutions to ensure a planned and structured approach to solving complex problems.  
  • Makes evidence based and strategic decisions in alignment with longer term business objectives.  
  • Identifies and assesses risks, makes risk informed decisions, uses BHP's risk management framework and builds a risk aware culture to support safe and productive performance outcomes.  
  • Regularly visit operation sites to collaborate with clients and ensure efficient, compliant, and safe mining operations.

  

About You

Required:

  • Tertiary education in Technology related qualifications. 
  • Demonstrated work experience in Information Technology of which some years in service management.
  • Demonstrates a high degree of business acumen and understanding of business applications used in a large, multinational business organization. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, specifically through email and oral presentations in both Spanish and English. 
  • Must be willing to work a shift schedule (holidays & weekends required). 


Recommended:

  • Has been part of an operation technology team for a Big Mining company.
  • Knowledge on ISA-95 standard.
  • Experience in industrial environment (networks, control systems, instrumentation). 
  • Certification in ITIL Foundation (Essential). 
  • While it’s not mandatory, experience with “Service Now” will be an advantage.
