Location: Carrapateena, South Australia (60-minute flight from Adelaide / 30-minute flight from Port Augusta)
Roster: 8 days on; 6 days off

In This Role You Will:

• Ensure that all site control centres (mine development, mine production, fixed plant) are fully functional and delivering to plan.
• Performance management of the Site Operations Centre team in line with the company’s goals.
• Capture and raise issues and improvement opportunities for control systems and alarm management.
• Actively review and assist in managing the Site Operations Centre operating budget.
• Provide visible safety leadership and carry out regular audits, inspections and assessments across multiple departments at Carrapateena Operations.
• Provide visible leadership in daily meetings and shift handovers.
• Collaborate with site departments and project teams in defining scope of works around operational readiness requirements from a central control room perspective.
• Manage the delivery and future direction of the Site Operations Centre to facilitate multiple control centres.
• Manage the development of new processes, training standards and procedures for the Site Operations Centre to allow for multiskilling of technicians in various control functions.
• Coordinate the development of reporting tools that help support business improvement for rapid development of underground operations, optimal equipment utilisation, and mill optimisation.
• Provide leadership support to the broader Mining Operations team.

About You:

• Tertiary qualifications in Mining Engineering or a related discipline
• Demonstrated ability to lead a team, including planning, mentoring, coaching, and performance management.
• Ability to set direction and plan for future projects.
• Proven experience in either Underground Mining, or Ore Processing.
• Experience with control room systems and programs such as Pitram, SCADA, Delay accounting etc.
• Knowledge of emergency procedures within each functional area of a mine site.
• Demonstrated behaviours around safety leadership.
• Excellent communication skills – verbal and written
• Experience with continuous improvement processes.
• Ability to participate as a key member of the broader Mining Operations superintendent team.
