About The Role
Caval Ridge is located in Queensland's Bowen Basin on the traditional lands of the Barada Barna people. We currently have an opportunity for an Ancillary Maintenance Supervisor. Reporting to the Superintendent Maintenance Execution, you will be responsible for Komatsu 930E electric trucks, service trucks, road trucks, pumps, lighting plants, frannas, cable tractors and more.
In this role your key responsibilities will include:
• Follow the BHP Charter, Code of Conduct and relevant statutory obligations.
• Set and maintain clear safety standards with your team.
• Lead safety investigations and risk assessments and provide quality reviews.
• Build capability through coaching, mentoring and provide technical advice and support to your team of maintenance technicians.
• Lead and support continuous improvement opportunities.
• Coordination of mechanical and electrical maintenance and routine inspection activities of mobile equipment.
• Working with multiple internal stakeholders and contract service partners in both baseload weekly and shutdown work.
• Management of maintenance work strategies and performance metric reporting.
• Influence Planning and Scheduling outcomes through clear communication and stakeholder engagement
Roles will be Fly-in-Fly-Out from Brisbane or Cairns, or Drive-in-Drive-out. The roster will be a 7:7 rotating roster, day and night shift.
About You
The successful candidate will possess the following:
• Strong communication skills and a track record of achieving results through using your influence.
• The ability to successfully lead and work within a team environment and build effective working relationships.
• Experience or a fast learner with work management software tools (e.g. 1SAP).
• Five years’ experience in maintenance execution or equivalent maintenance experience.
• Experience in detailed scoping and maintenance planning for multi-disciplined workgroups operating in a maintenance environment is preferred but not essential.
• Demonstrated computer skills (i.e. Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project).
• A valid Australian Drivers License.
• Strong desire to develop personally and utilise your skills to meet and exceed performance outcome.
