About the Role

Maintenance Supervisors to lead maintenance activities as follows: 
 
Ancillary Maintenance Supervisors will be responsible for the safe execution of maintenance activities for Tracked and Wheeled Dozers, Graders and floats.
 
This opportunity is being offered at BMA’s Saraji Mine, Central Queensland on and 3 days on / 3 nights on / 6 days Off roster and responsible for the following:

 

•    Oversee safe compliance with operating standards, procedures, work instructions & defined processes to achieve optimal outcomes.
•    Continue to identify opportunities to improve the performance of people, processes and systems
•    Improve fleet performance through quality maintenance practices
•    Executing the maintenance plan in conjunction with Site Maintenance Execution, the planning team and other stakeholders
•    Promoting a high level of team interaction and coordination 
•    Optimising the utilisation of resources throughout the schedule week 
•    Identifying and providing input in the continuous improvement of our Maintenance  processors 
•    Liaising with the wider Maintenance team to develop, validate and challenge the scope of work, including preparation requirements, isolation requirements and maintenance activities 
•    Liaising with the Planners & Schedulers to ensure schedule is updated during execution to reflect performance against plan 
•    Liaising with contracting partners for various activities such as mobilisation, task execution, close out and demobilisation.

About You


Your ability to demonstrate mining experience and understanding of the mining cycle and services networks will be well regarded, however demonstrated attitude and approach will be key to success in this role. In addition, our successful applicants will possesses the following skills and experience:
 
•    A genuine commitment to safety
•    Previous experience in leading a maintenance team in a frontline supervisory capacity
•    Previous experience leading a high performing team is critical
•    Hold a Diesel/Mechanical Fitter/Auto Electrical/Boilermaking trade certificate(Australian recognised) is preferred
•    Experience working as a Diesel/Mechanical Fitter/Auto Electrician or Boilermaker in an Ancillary/Mobile mining environment
•    An understanding the 1SAP work management process
•    Confidence to work across a range of disciplines and levels to foster mutually beneficial and cohesive relationships
•    Planning and scheduling experience is desirable 
•    Continuous improvement and project management experience is essential
•    Current C Class drivers licence.
