About the Role
Reporting to the Dragline Superintendent, working on a 7/7 ds/ns roster, you will be responsible for the management and oversight of a Dozer Push Production Crew. You will ensure the safe execution of the mine plan in accordance with operating standards, procedures, and defined processes to deliver optimal production outcomes.
In this role your key responsibilities will include:
• Manage a team of experienced operators, encourage the development of the teams’ skills to support the delivery of superior production outcomes.
• Apply a continuous improvement approach to identify and improve upon our operating philosophy and processes, ensure quality and efficiency in our operations; and
• Lead by example, promote and take the lead supporting and encouraging a diverse team of operators to work in a collaborative and inclusive environment ensuring a safety-first approach.
• This role will involve the implementation of & overseeing a fleet of semi-autonomous dozers, by way of Caterpillar command technology, from a central control room located onsite at Goonyella Riverside
About You
The ideal candidate will have the ability to lead positive change and support the continued development of a high performing team. As the successful candidate, you will possess the following:
• Experience working in the Coal industry in particular Dragline & Bulk Dozer Push Operations. S1 S2 S3 & G2 + Dozer/Excavator/Grader competency
• Experience working in Leadership roles, with strong people management skills; and the ability to motivate a team.
• Experience operating Semi-Autonomous tractor system (SATS) dozers by Caterpillar command technology.
