About The Role:
Reporting to the Superintendent Drill and Blast, as a Drill and Blast Supervisor you will focused on creating a culture of care by being a visible safety leader by engaging, developing and coaching your team whilst ensuring an overriding commitment to health, safety, environment responsibility and sustainable production.
•Lead and supervise drill and blast operations to ensure safe, efficient, and effective execution in line with production targets.
•Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations, maintaining a strong focus on risk management and safety culture.
•Develop and implement drill and blast plans, optimizing blasting techniques
•Coordinate with the mining team, engineers, and contractors to ensure seamless operations and achievement of production goals.
•Provide leadership, guidance, and training to drill and blast crews, fostering a culture of high performance and teamwork.
About You
About You
As an experienced and safety-conscious Drill and Blast Supervisor with success in overseeing high-performance drilling and blasting operations. With a commitment to operational efficiency, you thrive in fast-paced environments while maintaining the highest safety standards.
•Proven experience as a Drill and Blast Supervisor in the coal mining industry, with a strong understanding of drilling, blasting, and mining operations.
•In-depth knowledge of safety regulations, blast design, and risk management to ensure safe and efficient operations.
•Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate teams, ensuring high performance and safety compliance.
•Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineers, operators, and contractors, to meet production targets.
•Relevant qualifications in mining, drilling, or a related field, with a commitment to professional development and industry best practices.
