About the Role

 

Leads a team focused on the strategic management of emergency response related issues, provisions and initiatives across the organization (e.g. crisis and emergency management etc.). Coaches and develops team leaders / teams to deliver high performance.

 

Accountabilities:

 

  • Responds to and improves the effectiveness of emergency response services to uplift organizational capability in managing emergencies/incidents.  
  • Identifies, engages and manages a range of diverse internal and external stakeholders.  
  • Identifies and assesses risks, makes risk informed decisions, uses BHP's risk management framework and builds a risk aware culture to support safe and productive performance outcomes.  
  • Plans, tracks the delivery of and manages a project to generate value and drive the achievement of project outcomes.  
  • Prioritizes work effort and resources accordingly.  
  • Engages the capabilities of the entire organization.  
  • Strives to achieve 100% safety, 100% customer value and 0% waste.  
  • Knows our customer and is obsessed with meeting their needs.  
     

About You

 

Required:

  • Certificate III in Mine Emergency Response and Rescue or equivalent
  • Certificate IV in Health Care or equivalent / higher
  • HR Drivers License
  • Minimum of C class driver’s license
  • TAE – Training and Assessment

 
Desirable Qualifications
 

  • Certificate IV in Emergency Response Coordination or Certificate IV in Public Safety (Firefighting Supervision).
  • Experience in leading and managing industrial emergency response teams.
  • ICAM (Incident Cause Analysis Method) Lead Investigator
