With your well-developed skills as a Supervisor Facilities Management you will manage all aspects of our Facilities Management contract to ensure safe operations, maintenance and continuous improvement of services are delivered on site, as well as achieving ongoing compliance with regulatory requirements.
You will also be responsible for conducting regular service monitoring and auditing of contract performance, KPI’s and provide backup relief for the departments Aviation Supervisor looking after aerodrome management and ground operations.
This role is based at Carrapateena on a FIFO from Adelaide basis, on an 8 days on / 6 days off roster arrangement.
In this role you will:
- Demonstrate an overriding commitment to health, safety, environmental responsibility and sustainable development by being a visible safety leader
- Deliver on the Integrated Services Strategy by leading improvement projects
- Oversee contract partners utilising the BHP Contractor Management System to support our business partners to safely deliver scope of service, quality, statutory and contractual compliance
- Complete Field Leadership activities and ensure that resulting actions are closed out in a timely matter
- Facilitate 5-Why investigations, write & review risk assessments, and conduct event reporting
- Monitor and report on the performance metrics relating to contracted services, safety and cost forecast vs actual
- Budget management including cost control, raising purchase orders, reviewing and approving invoices and end of month accruals
- Drive continuous improvement mindset and behaviours from the frontline up
- Manage routine operational meetings with contract business partners and key stakeholders to ensure customer focused service delivery
- Establish strong working relationships with our site customers and Integrated Services peers across Copper SA
About You
- Demonstrated experience in a supervisory/ managerial role within maintenance, facilities management, mining, or similar environment
- Australian recognised Trade, Construction Management or Project Management qualifications
- Proven experience and understanding of how to leverage partnerships to improve service offerings continually
- Previous experience in building and maintaining effective systems that will deliver the highest levels of safety and performance whilst achieving production targets
- Well-developed commercial acumen and negation skills, including experience in managing diverse, high-value contracts
- Proven ability to foster strategic, collaborative partnerships with service providers, which improves service delivery
- Well-developed ability to engage with stakeholders to ensure the solution meets requirements, monitoring and escalating variances in project performance, schedule and cost as required
- Competent in MS office systems and SAP (or similar)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, proactive interpersonal skills, with the ability to interface across all levels and disciplines effectively
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
- Current valid manual driver’s license is required
