About the Role
Reporting to the Superintendent Field Equipment Maintenance, you will lead and supervise our frontline Mobile Equipment Maintenance team to ensure the planned performance, reliability, and integrity of our assets.
This role will be residentially based in Newman, on a Lifestyle roster, which consist of both day and night shift.
You will coach and mentor employees, drive a strong safety culture, and ensure safe systems of work are in place for all activities. As a Statutory 26 Appointed Person, you will ensure full compliance with the Mine Safety and Inspection Act and Mines Safety Inspection Regulations.
You will play a key role in the development, communication, and execution of the Mobile Equipment Maintenance work plan, while continuously identifying opportunities for improvement and quality maintenance outcomes.
- Fleet you will work with includes:
- 9200, 9400, 996 and 9600 Liebherr Excavators
- D65 and PV271 Epiroc Drills
About You
You are an inquisitive, team-focused and outcome-driven individual who is passionate about safety and building strong, positive relationships across the team.
You will ideally bring extensive experience in the operation and maintenance of heavy mining equipment, supported by a confident and motivated leadership style. Your communication skills, problem-solving capability and commitment to staff development will make you a valued and influential member of our leadership team.
- You will also bring:
- Current driver’s licence
- Statutory 26 appointed person certificate (preferred; minimum site-appointed accepted)
- Proven leadership experience in mining or heavy industry
- Proficiency in 1SAP, planning and work management systems
- Strong operational knowledge of maintenance practices
- Demonstrated commitment to safety leadership and critical risk management
- Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills
- A positive, inclusive leadership approach with a focus on strong team culture and diversity
