About the Role
BHP is looking for a Supervisor for our Technology - Site Operations teams at Mt Arthur Coal in the Hunter Valley region of NSW. As a Supervisor of Technology - Site Operations you will lead the team responsible for the care and maintenance of all site based technology (IT and OT systems). The role is a full time position on a 7/7 roster working 10.5 hour days.
Your responsibilities
- Lead team Fatality Free to 2030, Participate in Field Leadership.
- Site Responsible Person for Technology resources on site and external vendors (short-term work) and ensures your team works within the Safe Systems of Work, including safety, training and a changing working environment.
- Scope maintenance repair work to ensure efficient use of resources and materials to enable completion of works.
- Review Maintenance work schedules and work with planners ensuring good work management practices are followed. Manage personnel performance.
- Coordinates and manages maintenance tasks to optimise the technology environment and minimise any impacts to business continuity. Investigate/Scope work requirements for minor project work installations.
- Foster relationships between Technology and site operations to deliver technology service requirements and ensures the delivery of premium site support services
- Collaborate with other teams (all site departments, remote teams and vendors) to ensure the effective operation and maintenance of the technology environment to support business needs/operations.
- Management of all site based technology assets including deployment pool, spares, repairs and maintenance along with the required records and documentation to support compliance
- Manages and coordinates resources available on site and external vendors to ensure incidents and events can be resolved in accordance with business priorities/expectations
- Works with the Technology Mines Principals, Project Managers and Engineering to facilitate site based project activities to ensure safe execution of work and minimal disruption to operations
- Acts as the escalation contact for Technology site operations issues.
About You
The successful candidate will have:
- A proven track record of Safety leadership/supervision of teams in an operational environment
- People leadership/management skills – creating a culture of care and performance management.
- A relevant tertiary degree (Engineering, Information Systems or related discipline) or relevant trade qualification (Electrical/Instrumentation/Radio/Wireless/LTE technician).
- A background in Operational Technology, preferably in Mining
- Familiarity with mining operations technology, fleet management (Modular/Minestar), Digital Radio, Wireless networks,), LTE, Physical Access Management Systems and Cisco networks
- Exposure to SAP and work management processes
- An ability to prioritise effectively and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
