About the Role


The IOC (Integrated Operations Centre) at BHP is seeking to Talent Pool for the Supervisor – Load and Haul position. In this role, you will lead a team focused on the controlling and monitoring of equipment, operations and production to ensure safety, productivity and engagement outcomes across the supply chain.

In this full-time permanent position, you will be based at our Brisbane corporate office and work an attractive lifestyle day and night shift roster pattern (12.5hr shifts).

You will work in an environment which is dynamic and striving to continuously improve performance, and with this, you will be involved in continuous improvement projects to help us become even better!


In this role you will be responsible for leading a team of Mine and Maintenance 1 (M1) Controllers that:
 

  • Operates and optimises mining fleet management systems, troubleshoots production problems to effectively deliver on production and safety targets. 

  • Determines the underlying cause of problems and evaluates multiple solutions to ensure a planned and structured approach to solving complex problems. 

  • Identifies, engages and manages a range of diverse internal and external stakeholders. 

  • Identifies and assesses risks, makes risk informed decisions, uses BHP's risk management framework and builds a risk aware culture to support safe and productive performance outcomes. 

  • Prioritises work effort and resources accordingly. 

  • Manages new and existing sets of master data, runs and cleanses reports to remove errors and improve the quality of master data across BHP. 

  • Engages the capabilities of the entire organisation. 

  • Strives to achieve 100% safety, 100% customer value and 0% waste. 

  • Knows our customer and is obsessed with meeting their needs.

  • You can work in high pressure environments with tight deadlines.
