About the role

We are seeking a talented individual to take on the role of Supervisor Belt Maintenance Execution based within our Operations Services Conveyor field services team located in Western Australia.

Reporting directly to the OS Superintendent Maintenance, this role is responsible for collaborating with a number of different stakeholders and leading a highly skilled team of technicians to safely execute the maintenance of conveyor belts across the WA mines

Roster available within this role are 8/6-7/7 day/night rotating roster - Fly in/Fly out from Perth .

Your duties will include:

  • Statutory supervisor ( S26 ) DMIRs responsibilities ensuring compliance with obligations and safety standards
  • Commitment to the highest Work Health Safety and Environment standards in all activities, with the ability to apply workplace health and safety policies and procedures,
  • Hold an Australian equivalent trade certificate in Polymer Processing cert III or + or relevant experience in the field
  • Foster a positive and productive team culture, set and maintain clear safety standards, and demonstrate a responsible attitude with a willingness to be held accountable.
  • Candidates with HRWL’s ( HR, DG, LF, RB ) will be highly regarded but not essential.
  • Build capability through coaching, mentoring and provide technical advice and support to your team of belt technicians and contract partners
  • Supervise and coordinate conveyor belt maintenance activities, engaging with multiple internal stakeholders.

About You

The successful candidate will possess the following:

  • Positive attitude and high standards of safety
  • Strong communication skills and a track record of achieving results through using your influence
  • Completed or working towards their Statutory Supervisor DMIRs exam.
  • The ability to successfully lead and work within a team environment and build effective working relationships
  • Extensive experience in conveyor maintenance is essential
  • Experience in detailed scoping and maintenance planning for multi-disciplined workgroups operating in a gained in a shutdown environment across the fixed plant
  • Demonstrated computer skills (i.e. Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, 1 SAP )
