Expressions of Interest Proposed 2/2 Roster
We are currently looking to enhance the rosters that are on offer across our Area C mine site, on the Traditional Lands of the Banjima People in Western Australia’s Pilbara. We are currently exploring the opportunity to move our Mining Production teams from a 2/1 roster to a 2 week on, 2 week off, 12-hour day and night shift FIFO roster to start in 2025. This means more days at home to enjoy doing what you love.
About the Opportunity
To support this proposed change, Area C Mining Production teams are seeking expressions of interest from experienced Mining Production Supervisors with a desire to join our world class operation on the proposed 2/2 roster combination. As a supervisor, you will have strong leadership skills and the capability to positively influence our safety culture. Your ability to lead by example, be proactive and prioritise Field Leadership activities will be critical to your success. In addition, you will play a key role through:
• Providing leadership to a Load and Haul team operating within a large-scale open pit mine
• Thinking Big to deliver inputs to shape your work environment
• Strategising daily dig unit performance to feed three Crushers as part of one of the largest Iron Ore hubs in the world
• Mentor and develop the daily interactions of the production team
• Positively influence business decisions through your clear decision-making skills
• Challenge daily operations and performance
• Maximise compliance within the operational plan
• Align duties across the production team to ensure development targets are achieved
About You
We have a strong focus on finding individuals with the right values, leadership capability, and communication skills. Your interpersonal skills will foster collaborative working relationships in addition to a demonstrated ability to consolidate and analyse information. You will have access to technology that will enable you to work flexibly, which is key to BHP’s success in addressing the requirements of a diverse workforce.
Desirable skills include:
• Experience in open pit operations
• Schedule 26 Statutory Supervisor qualification
• Resource industry and site-based experience
• Quarry Manager qualification
• Tertiary qualifications in Engineering or other related disciplines

The outstanding facilities at the FIFO village include; a fully equipped gym, swimming pool, netted cricket pitch, tennis and basketball court, beach volleyball court and recreation room including a pool table, darts, table tennis, TV and DVD player. All rooms at the village have their own ensuite bathroom, television, refrigerator and air-conditioning.
