About the Role
The Western Australia Iron Ore (WAIO) Geoscience Operations team are seeking an Operations Supervisor to lead a safety focused team working in a collaborative and inclusive environment in the Pilbara.
This role is FIFO ex Perth and either on a Full Time (8:6 7:7) or Job Share basis (8:20)
Reporting to the Superintendent Geoscience Operations your key accountabilities will include:
- Safety: Demonstrate strong leadership and commitment to Health Safety & Environment and embedding safe systems of work in every aspect of our portfolio.
- Operational: Set strong operational standards to ensure we are meeting quality and are quick to adapt to voice of customer feedback.
- Improvement: Create a continuous improvement mindset across the operation to seek better ways and make a difference.
- Contractor Management: Develop strong partnerships with our contractor workforce who play a key part in the delivery of the Geoscience Operations portfolio.
- People Leadership: Navigate teams through setting high standards for safety and performance, building an inclusive culture where everyone can bring their best self to work.
About You
The successful candidate, will ideally possess the following:
- Demonstrated commitment to Health, Safety and Environment
- Ability to lead, collaborate and influence a wide range of stakeholders (internal and external) to deliver a plan safely and foster positive working relationships
- Proven ability to plan, organise and coordinate a variety of tasks within a dynamic environment
- Focus on executing planned work and ability to analyse deviation for prompt rectification
- Schedule 26 Statutory Supervisor appointment preferred
- Experience in a similar environment – geoscience, drilling operations, geophysics, contractor management or rehabilitation
- Proficiency in Geoscience software programs preferred (ArcGIS, Data management portal, DDMS)
