About the Role:

 

As a Security Supervisor, you will lead the planning and execution of daily security activities across multiple sites (Jimblebar and Newman). You will be a visible safety leader, supporting a culture of care while ensuring that all security operations meet BHP standards, industry expectations, and regulatory requirements.

 

Roster: 8:6

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Lead and coordinate daily security operations to ensure safe and effective delivery of services.
  • Provide visible leadership, coaching and engagement with the security team.
  • Drive adherence to BHP security, safety, and operational standards.
  • Oversee the effective operation of security facilities, including Gatehouses, Site Access Office, and Village Security.
  • Supervise contractors within your area of responsibility.
  • Maintain Crisis and Emergency Management processes related to security.
  • Identify training needs, maintain training records, and ensure security team readiness.
  • Ensure security equipment, vehicles, and technologies meet or exceed industry standards.
  • Maintain compliance with Quality Documents and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Provide security advice to departments across site as required.
  • Drive continuous improvement by identifying vulnerabilities, performing assessments, and tracking remediation.
  • Collaborate with regional security teams and external stakeholders such as WAPOL.

 

About You:

 

You will have:

 

  • Experience in security and site access operations.
  • Proven experience in staff coordination and team leadership.
  • Strong ability to operate under pressure in high‑risk environments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office for documentation and database management.
  • Certificate II in Security Operations (minimum requirement).
