About the Role

 

Reporting to the Superintendent Training Development and Delivery, this role oversees the team that ultimately ensures that training products and services meet or exceed the expectations of our customers.

 

You will support the team to ensure the delivery of an outstanding learning experience for new and existing employees, and in-scope contractors, ensuring learners have the tools to work safely, productively and contribute positively to our culture of safety, respect, care, and inclusion.

 

 

This role is based at Olympic Dam on a 5/2, 4/3 roster with options of FIFO from Adelaide or residential at Roxby Downs.

 

 

In this role you will:

 

  • Lead the team to ensure the delivery of quality programs to intended audiences, achieving programs’ objectives, and ensuring learning transfer occurs for each participant.
  • Drive continuous improvement across the training delivery team and products.
  • Champion multimodal forms of training delivery.
  • Lead the team to develop strong and efficient BOS practices.
  • Contribute expertise, identify training needs, and develop, update, and continuously improve curriculum as outlined in the Training Governance Framework.
  • Ensure controls, including critical controls are in place to effectively manage training.

 

 

You will also lead your team to ensure an engaged and high performing team that deliver high levels of customer service, including but not limited to participation in the following:

  • Staff coaching.
  • Establish and manage cross-skilling for team members, including self, to ensure back-up.
  • Ensure on time compliance with individual training and site compliance activities.
  • Scheduling and approval of staff leave requests.
  • Ensure compliance of Field Leadership requirements.

About You

 

  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role within mining, processing or heavy industry preferred
  • Relevant management qualification or demonstrated equivalent experience
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
  • Experience in and knowledge of relevant mining and major hazardous facilities risks and Legal and Regulatory requirements
  • A working knowledge of BOS would be highly beneficial
  • Proven ability to build highly effective working relationships across a range of stakeholders and working groups
  • Demonstrated experience leading, developing and managing people and teams
  • A passion for continuously improving training delivery
  • Initiative, leadership and ability to work with minimal direction, being resourceful and proactive in your approach.
