About the Role

 

Provide support and understanding of inbound logistics to deliver high performance including goods receipting, general freight and bulk freight management
The role will assist in developing performance and safety metrics of third party logistics partners across Copper SA and working closely with BHP stakeholders to build continuous improvement initiatives.
The role includes support of general freight Off Site Receipting, bulk storage of materials and transportation of goods across Copper SA.

 

  • Be a leader in safety and have a great safety leadership shadow.
  • Work with Warehouse and Transport teams to build relationships with end users and share ways of working.
  • Focus on developing and implementing BHP procedures and routines at third party logistics warehouses
  • Assist in quality audits and surveys completed for bulk products
  • Be able to make decisions based on knowledge and experience
  • Be Flexible when required to be able to travel to Olympic Dam, Carrapateena and Prominent Hill
  • Assist with SES approval and finance management 
  • Be first point of contact for Adelaide based escalations
  • Contribute in Field Leadership to ensure BHP processes are being followed and safety is managed effectively
  • Assist and coach in development of offsite receipting facilities
  • Quality control activities
  • Complete transactional movements for bulk products
  • Set up and lead monthly routines for third party logistics partners

About You

 

  • Extensive experience in SAP and RLM
  • Good understanding of Transport legislation requirements including NBHVR and basic fatigue management
  • Experience in supply chain / warehouse / transport
  • Ability to work well with Microsoft Office, especially excel
  • A team-oriented mind set with the ability to integrate will into a collaborative team
  • Great collaboration skills to solve problems
  • Passion for safety and ability to be a safety leader
