About The Role

 

We are currently recruiting for qualified and experienced Mechanical Maintenance Fitters to join our Surface Operations Team.  The role will work a roster of 7/7 rotating day/night FIFO from Adelaide, DIDO from regional SA or Residential Roxby Downs.

 

Reporting to the Supervisor of the Fixed Plant team, your role will be primarily based on the surface liaising closely with underground mine personnel and interacting with multiple other departments. You will be involved in executing planned and unplanned maintenance tasks, as well as helping to ensure any plant downtime issues are escalated and actioned effectively.

 

In this role you will:-
 

  • Comply to and consistently follow the standards and procedures designed to enable you to work safely and effectively every day
  • Develop close working relationships with operations personnel to ensure that all plant downtime issues are escalated correctly and remedied promptly
  • Provide continual feedback to the maintenance supervisor on job/task progress
  • Have a commitment to look after your own and the teams wellbeing, confidence to mentor safety related issues and speak up to coach and prevent harm
  • Be responsible for the execution of activities across shifts and other departments in order to safely add value  and improve efficiencies 
  • Provide technical expertise within the maintenance team whilst facilitating preventative and reactive maintenance activities
  • Foster collaborative and productive working relationships across all internal and external stakeholders
  • Demonstrate an overriding commitment to working in and promoting a healthy, safe, environmentally responsible and sustainable workplace 
  • Be active in identifying and communicating improvements to procedures, processes or plant and participate in problem solving and troubleshooting of plant issues as required

 

About you
 

  • Proven commitment to look after your own wellbeing and the confidence to speak up when others put themselves in harm’s way
  • Mechanical trade qualifications and experience with Fixed Plant.
  • Prior experience working at the CAF Plant, Raise Bores and Mining Operations knowledge highly regarded
  • Rigger, Dogger, Franna, Confined Space Entry, Working at Heights and Bridge & Gantry tickets also advantageous
  • Solid time management skills and ability to prioritise
  • A proactive team player who is also self-motivated and able to work effectively unsupervised
  • Ability to communicate well across multiple levels and disciplines
  • Experience with maintenance software and detailed record keeping
  • Sound computer skills or previous 1SAP Experience would be beneficial
