About the Role
We are seeking a highly-motivated individual to join the East Pilbara Surveying team. Reporting to the Superintendent Survey, you will work alongside a team of Surveying professionals responsible for the provision of Surveying services to our mining operations.
At BHP WAIO, the Surveying team includes a Geomatics group responsible for the provision of GIS services across the entire WAIO supply chain, so in addition to Mine Surveying, you will be involved in spatial services and improvement projects that span the entire business.
Not only will you have a fulfilling technical development pathway, we will ensure that you build an understanding of business acumen to set yourself up as a professional who can leverage their technical capability to add business value.
This role is offered on a 8 days on, 6 days off roster, however flexible work options can be considered.
About You
As the successful candidate, you will possess the following:
- A qualification in Surveying of at least a Diploma in Surveying.
- More than 3 years of post-graduate Surveying experience.
- Having Grade 1 or 2 authorisation or the eligibility to obtain this would be highly regarded.
- Experience in using Maptek software (Point Studio & Vulcan) as well as Trimble Surveying equipment and DJI remotely piloted aircraft.
- Experience in conducting aerial surveys using remotely piloted aircraft.
- C-Class drivers licence
- Willingness to proactively engage customers to solve problems and meet expectations.
