About TROC

Perth City Square is home to BHP Iron Ore State-of-the-art Integrated Remote Operations Centre (IROC) and Technology Remote Operations Centre (TROC). Our Control Centres operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week using advanced , real-time technology to enable visibility and control, across the entire Iron Ore Supply Chain.

As a technology enabled center of excellence, TROC employees work collaboratively with IROC and site on a shift-by-shift basis supporting technology functions across the supply chain, to enable faster operating decisions, improve safety and optimise value.

About the Role

As a Technology Trainee we encourage hands on experience within our IROC and TROC Teams.  This allows you to take ownership for the safety of our people in the field, achieving production targets, by enabling the effective operation of day to day job specific requirements.

 

These opportunities do not require you to have previous experience as successful candidates will work towards achieving a Certificate lll in Information Technology during work hours. However, an interest and/or understanding of basic technology systems is advantageous.

 

We are looking for highly motivated individuals to join the TROC Support team within BHP with the ability to work in a high-pressure fast-moving environment. You will be learning from experienced professionals firsthand, helping you to jump start your career within BHP. As a trainee you will be required to manage stress and work methodically to achieve the desired results.  Someone who is willing to follow direction, rules and procedures whilst showing initiative and searching for continuous improvement within the team.

Lifestyle Roster

This position will work on our Lifestyle Roster, working a pattern of days and nights, with a block of days off at the end of each swing.  Employees on this roster enjoy working 14 shifts over a 28 day period.  They work a combination of days and nights which include being off 2 out of 4 weekends.
