About the Role

 

The Technical Support Officer is a key enabler for the Supervisor Maintenance Execution, ensuring operational efficiency by executing core administrative and support activities.  This role allows supervisors to maximise their time in the field by managing essential processes and documentation.

 

As part of the Facilities Maintenance team, the Technical Support Officer plays a pivotal role in delivering maintenance services across a diverse asset portfolio, including villages, housing and airports within the Bowen Basin.  The position is primarily administrative but critical to supporting and is a residential role based in the Moranbah office on a 5/2 roster.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Active field leadership across Facilities Maintenance.
  • Provide support to Facilities Maintenance regarding safety compliance at all levels.
  • Review, amend and approve notifications for planning.​ 
  • Review, amend, convert notifications to PM03 work orders​. 
  • Ensure PRTs are attached to work orders; follow up with trades/Supervisors for missing documents.
  • Coordinating and manage across the team for continuous improvement of PRT, red pen, master data request and follow through to completion.
  • Review timesheets, feedback, documents for Service Contractors​. 
  • TECOing of completed work orders.​ 
  • Attach timesheets, feedback forms and documents to work order as a 'doc' for service contractors​. 
  • Enter times for service contractors to 'Contractor Hours' Spreadsheet in SharePoint​. 
  • Complete time confirmations for embedded contractors that do not have FIORI​. 
  • Complete time confirmations for service contractors.​ 
  • Amend purchase requisition as required on the day of job completion or when amended invoice/quote is received.​ 
  • Attend Pre-Schedule meeting with MCoE​. 
  • Attend stakeholder meetings​. 
  • Monitoring Shared Emails (Housing, Villages and Dysart)

 

About You

 

  • Essential current SAP experience with a basic to moderate level of skill.
  • Essential strong software skills in Microsoft and other BMA systems.
  • Highly regarded prior formal training in administration, construction, asset management or other relevant discipline. 
  • Experience in operational role with high demands and management of multiple stakeholders.
  • Experienced in delivery of works in compliance with a business process and KPI frameworks
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Resilient and adaptable, flexibility to support as the team requires.
  • Proactive approach to problem solving, strong accountability and determination to see things through to the end.
  • Organised and efficient, with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Safety-focused and committed to delivering high-quality outcomes.
  • Curiosity to identify, research and propose solutions to challenges.
