About the Role

We are currently looking for a qualified Auto-Electrical Technician to join our Mobile Maintenance team at Jimblebar.

Your key role in our team will be ensuring we conduct safe and effective maintenance contributing to high mobile equipment availability and reliability. Specifically, you will perform preventative maintenance, repairs and fault finding on Mobile fleet consisting of Liebherr 996 & 9400 excavators, Epiroc PV271 & D65 Surface Drill Rigs and ancillary fleet in pit as required.

Qualifications


To be considered for the role we are seeking out the following skillsets:

  • Mandatory: Auto Electrical Trade Qualification with diagnostic and fault finding experience.
  • Mandatory: Valid Australian Refrigerant Handling Licence.
  • Mandatory: Valid Australian High Risk Work Licence – Minimum competencies: Forklift, Dogging, Rigging, EWP accreditations.
  • Mandatory: Valid West Australian C Class licence.


Experiences, Skills and Knowledge desirable:

  • Experience in maintaining Liebherr, Epiroc or Caterpillar Earthmoving Equipment; or
  • Experience in maintaining other Heavy Agricultural Equipment; and
  • Experience in maintaining Automotive Air-Con Systems.

 

The successful candidate will be self-motivated. They will Demonstrate a consistent sense of urgency when performing work and have the ability to work as a team player within a small team.

 

Location

You will be based at our ‘Jimblebar’ mine site on a fly-in fly-out 8 day on, 6 days off, 7 nights on, 7 nights off roster. Jimblebar is now an autonomous truck mine the first Greenfield mine in over 40 years to be both developed and operated by BHP Billiton Iron Ore. It is located 40kms North East of Newman, Western Australia. The outstanding facilities at the brand new FIFO village include; a fully equipped gym, swimming pool, golf driving nets, outdoor cinema, netted cricket pitch, tennis and basketball court; beach volleyball court, games room and TV lounge. All rooms at the village have access to 3G wireless internet and Skype, an ensuite bathroom, flat screen television, refrigerator and air-conditioning.
