About the Role

 

We have an exciting opportunity to build experience as a Technician Maintenance Autonomous Haulage Systems and be a part of the Mobile Equipment Maintenance team at Mining Area C. The successful candidate will work both in the workshop and within pit operations to help ensure the safe and efficient operation of all Autonomous Haulage (AH) related assets.

 

Reporting to the MEM Supervisor you will:

 

•    Prepare for and execute maintenance activities on AHT (Autonomous Haul Truck) and EMVs (Equipped Manual Vehicle), carry out post execution tasks and eliminate defects to facilitate reliable and efficient maintenance operations
•    Complete troubleshooting of onboard AH system faults
•    Work with the OEM to complete routine calibrations of AHTs after base machine components are replaced 
•    Complete detailed maintenance history to enable reliability improvements to be initiated 
•    Assess the underlying cause of problems and evaluates multiple solutions to ensure a planned and structured approach to solving complex problems

 

 

About You

 

•    Comprehensive understanding of safety processes and systems on a mine site 
•    Trade or Engineering qualifications in either mechanical, electrical or communication fields 
•    Experience in / comfortable with working with fleet management systems (e.g. Komatsu FrontRunner) or other mining technology products 
•    Thorough understanding of mechanical and / or electrical mining equipment 
•    Knowledge of communications network systems advantageous 
•    Demonstrable experience in problem solving 
•    Comfortable with change, and the ability to adapt in a fluid working environment 

 

Location & Roster

 

This role will be based at Mining Area C on a 2:2 roster. The team is currently moving from a 2:1 roster so there may be short period of crossover depending on start date. This will be confirmed during the onboarding process.
