About the role

 

We are seeking Heavy Diesel Fitters with extensive experience for our Peak Downs Mine Site based in Queensland. These roles will be to conduct planned and breakdown maintenance and repairs to predominantly CAT 797 and 793 Trucks. Demonstrated experience in maintaining and diagnosing mobile equipment is highly regarded. The roster will be a 7 days on, 7 days off, 7 nights on, 7 nights off roster. FIFO from Brisbane, Cairns, Townsville to Moranbah.

 

Responsibilities include: 

 

  • Planned and breakdown maintenance on variety of mobile plant and equipment – CAT knowledge is highly sought after. 
  • Carrying out inspections and repairs on equipment as per maintenance strategies
  • Executing work orders as per schedule to a high standard 
  • Scoping and creating 1SAP notifications for preventative work  
  • Contribute to a positive team culture and working to a high degree of safety at all times 

 

About You 

 

  • Trade Qualified Heavy Diesel Fitter 
  • Previous experience in mining, working on CAT 797 or 793 or T282
  • Team focused, with a high regard for safety in the workplace 
  • Highly developed diagnostic and troubleshooting skills 
  • Ability to work as part of a diverse team
