About the Role
Reporting directly to the Area Mechanical Supervisor Maintenance on site, we are currently seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our Maintenance team at Kwinana.
Main responsibility:
- Responsible for quality routine inspection, maintenance and corrective repair of fixed plant equipment.
- Contributing to our safety and continuous improvement culture, BHP Operating Systems (BOS), by being pro-active and demonstrating a commitment to high standards of execution within your trade.
- Proficiency with computer based planning systems, ideally 1SAP & Fiori
- Have a sound understanding of maintenance management principles,
- Work effectively with other maintenance and production team members, including contractors.
- Complete Field leaderships as per KPI.
- Maintain a high level working knowledge of safety processes
- Ensure that all documentation and data entry is accurately completed
- Undertake all inspections of equipment and maintenance tools
- Maintain a high level working knowledge of safety processes
- Ensure adequate of corrective work to facilitate the Planning Process.
About You
As a successful candidate, we are looking for applicants with following skillset and experience:
- Overriding commitment to BHP Charter, health, safety, environment and sustainable development.
- Experience working as a Mechanical Fitter in a Processing Plant is highly desirable
- Must be Trade qualified in Fitter/Machinist
- Forklift Licence, Franna, Working at Heights, Confined Space, and EWP tickets an advantage.
- Demonstrated experience working in a diverse team environment
- Ability to work well within a team to achieve outcomes
- Motivated individual who can work with minimal supervision
- Be dedicated to Continuous Improvements
- Sound communication and interpersonal skills
