About The Role
We are pleased to advise that we have multiple positions avaiable across our crews.
In this role you will be an active team member, providing support to the requirements of the work team, adhering to operating requirements and striving for the achievement of individual, team and site objectives.
In this role you will:
• Provide electrical trade skills to perform core activities within the electrical mine area, to ensure overall reliability and sustainability of the operation
• Carry out planned and unplanned, installation and modifications to UG Electrical and Communication Back Bone
• Assist in resolution of electrical issues affecting equipment performance and availability
• Comply to and consistently follow the standards and procedures designed to enable you to work safely and effectively every day
• Develop working relationships with maintenance and other personnel to ensure maintenance activities are rectified immediately and escalated where required
• Provide continual feedback to the Supervisors on job progress
• Update events and work requests with an accurate scope of work, to support effective planning of work
• Provide feedback to the Supervisor on improvement opportunities
• Build cross-functional relationships to support mining and maintenance operations
• Provide input into root cause analysis and subsequent resolution of action items affecting equipment reliability
• Maintain a high level of housekeeping in all work area
Please note this position is based at Olympic Dam, operating on a 7/7 rotating day/night roster pattern with residential, FIFO (from Adelaide) and DIDO options available.
About You
- Current South Australian A Class Electrical License
- Current, valid driver’s licence
- Working at Heights and Integrated tool carrier tickets are advantageous
- HRWL - Dogging (Desirable)
- Proven commitment to look after your own wellbeing and the confidence to speak up when others put themselves in harm’s way
- Previous experience working in a similar Electrical role within the mining industry (preferred)
- Experience with mining/minerals processing environments (preferred)
- Proven ability to demonstrate appropriate HSEC behaviours
- Ability to communicate across multiple levels and disciplines
- Ability to work autonomously, or as part of a team
