About the Role:

In support of our growing portfolio, we are seeking highly skilled and motivated Trade Assistants / Service Person with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in mechanical maintenance. Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a variety of BHP’s fixed plant assets which include three key areas, Skirt Liners, Rollers and Scrapers on a range of equipment including Conveyors, Screenhouses, Stackers and Reclaimers.

 

Your duties will include but not limited to:
 

  • Ability to remove and replace conveyor idlers and idler frames.
  • Perform routine inspections and maintenance on skirt liners
  • Commitment to ongoing training and upskilling.
  • Familiar with systems such as SAP, or willingness to learn.
  • Troubleshooting to resolve issues with plant & equipment
  • Collaborating with the wider team to support sustainable operation of plant
  • Adherence to a scheduled plan of work
  • Quality assurance activities & detailed reporting
  • Assist in WIN development & revision for complex systems.
  • Assist with scheduled maintenance aligning with all conveyor components
  • Exposure to FIFO and/or shift work environments highly regarded

What is on offer:

This role is based within the Pilbara region of Western Australia, on a fly in fly out of Perth. This role is supported by Dynamic roster with rosters published 4 weeks in advance to make up 182 days a year supporting our shutdown team across all BHP sites.
