About the Role

 

Saraji Mine are seeking driven Trades Assistants to join our Maintenance team. These opportunities will be 12 month fixed term opportunities, come join a safety focused team and gain world class industry knowledge.  

 

In this role you will:

 

  • Comply to and consistently follow the standards and procedures designed to enable you to work safely and effectively every day
  • Provide trade assistance skills to support planned, unplanned or breakdown maintenance
  • Develop close working relationships with maintenance and other personnel to ensure that all maintenance activities are rectified immediately and escalated where required
  • Provide continual feedback to the Shift Maintenance Supervisors on job progress
  • Execute activities according to the weekly work schedule and unscheduled work as required
  • Update events and work requests with an accurate scope of work, to support effective planning of work
  • Provide feedback to the Maintenance Supervisor on improvement opportunities
  • Build cross-functional relationships with the range of Operational areas to support maintenance
  • Comply with the 1SAP Work Management processes related to work identification, execution and the capturing of related historical transactional data into 1SAP
  • Provide input into root cause analysis and subsequent resolution of action items affecting equipment reliability

 

About you

 

  • Proven commitment to look after your own wellbeing and the confidence to speak up when others put themselves in harm’s way
  • Previous experience working in a similar Trades Assistant role within the mining industry
  • Working at Heights and Elevated Work Platform tickets are advantageous
  • Demonstrated prior experience working with heavy plant and equipment or transferrable examples
  • Forklift and dogging tickets preferred – but not essential
  • Ability to communicate across multiple levels and disciplines
  • Current, valid driver’s licence
