About the Role


We are now seeking Trainer Assessor for an opportunity within our WA operations. If you are an experienced Trainer Assessor, this is an opportunity for you to join the high performing Operations Services Technical Capability team on a family friendly 8/6 Roster from Perth to Newman.


You will: 
 

  • Use your experience to deliver competency-based training materials to individuals or groups
  • Conduct Practical Assessments / Training for specific equipment and/or High-Risk to ensure new team members are competent and authorised to work
  • Ensure training materials are maintained in line with business and industry standards
  • Ensure team members are adequately skilled and are available across all shifts to ensure safe and effective execution of work
  • Coach and mentor team members on how to identify improvement opportunities and implement solutions relating to standardised work
  • Work to maintain a digital training matrix for all personnel and ensure training needs are met (on site and externally).

About You


Ideally you would hold one of the below qualifications: 
 

  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessing (TAE40110, TAE40116 or TAE40122)
  • Assessor Skill Set (TAESS00011 or TAESS00019)
  • Diploma or higher-level qualification in adult education

 

Accreditation with WorkSafe as an Assessor of High-Risk Work Licences (Desirable)

High-Risk Work licences. (Desirable) WP Boom-type elevating work platforms (boom length 11 metres or greater), LF (Forklift truck), DG (Dogging), RB (Basic rigging)


Exposure or a solid understanding of the following is an advantage:

 

  • Working Safely at height training
  • Enter and work in confined Spaces training.
  • Gas test atmospheres training
  • First Aid training
  • Fire extinguisher training
  • Telehandler training
  • Lighting Tower training
  • White Card – WA (CPCWHS1001 – Prepare to work safely in the construction industry)
  • Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a similar role in mining or a resource related industry
  • Experience working in fixed plant and shutdown environments
  • Demonstrated experience and passion for delivering your technical expertise to others in an engaging and professional way
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively coach to improve performance and upskill
  • Baseline knowledge with Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Be highly autonomous, but also able to work well in a high performing / flexible team environment.
