About the Role
We are excited to invite interest from individuals eager to join our underground mining operations at BHP Olympic Dam. With our business expanding within the Production (Load & Haul) sector, we are predominately seeking candidates for entry-level Production Opportunities, where you enter the industry learning how to drive an Underground Dump Truck. You will receive comprehensive training to become an experience and well-rounded miner, which ensures you gain experience, training and knowledge in all aspects of underground operations, safety procedures and the underground road network. This opportunity will enable to you to progress and fast track your mining career, with career development opportunities available in across all departments, Production, Development and Services.
In this role you will:
- Operate Manual 4X4 Vehicles underground (Toyota Landcruiser)
- Learn to operate large Underground Mining Dump Trucks
- Promote and consistently follow the standards and procedures designed to enable you to work safely and effectively every day.
- Identify and implement opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency and cost effectiveness.
- Ensure all safe work systems, procedures and standards are adhered to through frequent inspection of the workplace.

A valid Driver’s Licence with significant experience driving a manual vehicle.
To be considered for these positions it is not considered essential to have prior experience within the Mining industry. We are seeking applications from individuals who are keen to learn new skills, have a proactive attitude and willing to be part of a high performing, collaborative team.
