About the Role

We currently have opportunities available for inclusive and supportive leaders to join our high performing diverse team.  The Load n Haul Production Supervisor roles are based at Olympic Dam, working 7 days on, 7 days off, 7 nights on, 7 nights off, working a 12-hour roster pattern rotating between day shift and night shift roster arrangement. Reporting to the Superintendent Load & Haul Production. We have multiple options for our employees about travel, including living residentially, Drive in Drive Out, Bus in Bus Out and Fly in Fly out from Adelaide to site.

 

In this role you will:

 

  • Align duties across the production team to ensure targets are achieved
  • Review work practices to ensure best practice, removing wastage / roadblocks.
  • Monitor, document, evaluate and coach employee/s on performance against set targets.
  • Provide clear and concise feedback and document action plans in HR People systems in alignment with BOS Principles.
  • Provide clear and concise feedback.
  • Positively influence business decisions through your clear decision-making skills
  • Maximise compliance within the operational plan 
  • Align duties across the production team to ensure development targets are achieved

About You

Your strong desire to collaborate with your team to ensure they are safely delivering their best will see you well placed for success. Exceptional communication and people skills are a must allowing you to build relationships across the team.

You will also ideally:

  • Have proven experience managing multiple conflicting priorities and strong decision-making skills to achieve the best outcome for teams and production in the short and long term.
  • Be skilled in collaborative relationship-building and negotiation, to engage others and work on accountability.
  • Possess sound computer literacy and the ability to interpret shift metrics to drive optimal production behaviours.
  • Be committed to supporting and growing a culture of diversity within the team.
  • Can inspire and develop operators including those new to industry, and communicate, engage, and build trust with your team to deliver on your team’s commitments.
  • Have experience with identifying and implementing continuous improvement.
  • Have previous and proven experience as a people leader.
  • Have proven experience with HR performance management.
