About BHP Prominent Hill
Prominent Hill is home to a team that's more than 80% South Australian. You can build a strong mining career without leaving SA, with direct flights from Adelaide (1.5hrs) or Port Augusta (45 minutes).

About the Role
Our operations uses ventilation on demand, drone technology for mapping, advanced digital planning systems, and electronic blasting equipment adapted from defence and aerospace industries.
Our technology-forward approach combines traditional mining expertise with innovative systems for safer, more efficient operations.

8 days on, 6 days off roster gives you a regular rhythm - focused work periods followed by extended time at home
In this role you will:
- Conduct regular inspection, monitoring and testing of underground workplaces with experienced personnel who’ll share their knowledge
- Develop expertise in the effective use of the Ventilation on Demand (VoD) system
- Use advanced planning software with comprehensive training provided
- Lead improvement projects - we genuinely want to hear your ideas and observations
- Build your skills with underground environmental hygiene checks and surveys for temperature, gas, dust, air flows, and other contaminants - we'll provide the training and mentorship
