About the Role

 

A broad role covering all surface and underground operations. Dayshift only, 7/7. The position is in NiW WAN Electrical is covering traditionally 4x separate departments which have merged into the 1x – High Voltage, UG Retic, Winder Electrical and Fixed Plant Maintenance and Instrumentation. Amazing opportunity to learn and grow your skills.

 

Reporting to the Manager, you will: 

  • Diagnose and resolve electrical faults in a timely, safe and efficient manner.
  • Ensure all electrical work complies with mining regulations, site procedures and Australian standards.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement in reliability, efficiency and energy use.

About You

 

  • Current “A” grade Western Australian Electrical License (Unrestricted).
  • Low Voltage Rescue & CPR Certificate (Within 1 Year
  • High Risk Work License - WP (current)
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to UG mining conditions.
  • Strong work ethic and a positive attitude.

 

To be successful in this role you should possess:

 

  • Electrical Trade Certificate (A grade Electrician or equivalent
  • Sandvik Drill service and maintaining DD421, DD422, DL421, DL431
  • Winder Cage and Skip experience – ABB Control, E-Cam, VVVFs
  • Certificate in Instrumentation
  • High Voltage Ticket – Experience in 11kV UG Networks
  • UG Retic - Dewatering, Cable Installation, Enclosure Install and Maintenance
  • UG Comms Installation Maintenance and servicing , both Becker and MST / VDV Systems
  • RCT Digital and Analogue Tele remote Experience - Install commissioning and fault finding. 
  • High Voltage DC Motor service and experience desirable.
  • Crusher ad Material Handling Experience - Liquid Resist Starters, Conveyor Belt Maintenance and servicing
